Australian Spruce (Sitka Spruce) Acoustic Dreadnaught Guitar Bracewood Generic Set
Long-rotation plantation Sitka Spruce from the Otway Ranges in Victoria. The timber is processed to ensure the grain is as straight as possible to minimise long-grain runout and increase stability, strength and acoustic qualities.
These bracewood sets have a minimum volume to build one Dreadnaught sized guitar. Pictures show a number of wrapped examples. They include a range of pieces that make up a minimum of:
570mm x 60mm x 20mm (LxWxT) for lower bout back bars and x-braces
305mm x 150mm x 20mm (LxWxT) for upper bout reinforcement and back bars, transverse bar and tone bars
140mm x 120mm x 20mm (LxWxT) for soundhole reinforcement, finger braces and side supports. Excess timber can be used for back-strip if desired.
Pictures are provided as an example of a typical set and are not the actual set.
